Weaving of Fables

This exhibition acts as a collection space for remnants of an overarching folk tale.  Through pyrography illuminated with watercolor and sculpture made of recycled fabrics, parts of a tale are presented for the viewer to speculate on. Each piece had the focus of capturing individual narratives  in a single illustration, with inspiration coming from legends, myths and fairy tales, which were reworked with my personal archive of creatures.

Held At Gallery 115.

2023.

15 Pyrography and watercolour illustrations alongside an ongoing sculptural instillation.

The wooden works varied from 5 x 7 inches, 10 x 13 inches and 11 x 14 inches.

My second solo exhibition. This show was the culmination of a summer’s worth of wood burning works, inspired by folklore and the views of Nova Scotia.
