Baby
2017, Raku fired in an empty garbage can with a flamethrower. Stained with India ink.
9 x 6 x 5.5 inches.
This baby earns its name by the manner I cradled it in my arms before setting it in the garbage where it earned its colours through the oxidization of the glazes I had applied. The building of it was meant as a study in coral reefs and movement, so the baby is both child and home. Treat them tenderly!
